Poetic, damn that's beautiful. I still don't agree with your stance on nukes, but damn that was a well written quote. I wish we had more eloquence like that on here.
I do agree with you on single payer. That's the best plan but it'll never happen. The next best plan is the public option, but that will likely never happen either. We can only hope.

Was reading articles on CNN this morning which described the climate in Washington on Sunday...and all in all it was a disgrace. You had protesters calling lawmakers faggot$, spitting towards black lawmakers, chanting the word "n!gger" aimed at black lawmakers, causing disruptions from the House balcony (which was applauded by many Republican Representatives)..just everything. It has become quite clear that the "tea baggers" (what a name for a group that HATES gays) are nothing more than a group of racists. they can claim all they want that they aren't, but that's the truth. They are the same people who put Bush in office TWICE and effectively put us in the deep hole we are in now. THEY ARE NOTHING SHORT OF IGNORANT, MOSTLY UNEDUCATED BIGOTS who spread misinformation and effectively undermine our democracy...if that hurts anyone's feelings on this board, I hate that for ya...but that's how it is...they are even lower than ACORN, and ACORN is pretty darn low. Now you have high ranking GOP members like John "McBush" McCain promising no GOP cooperation in the Senate for the remainder of the year further dividing our nation. The way I see it, being a Congressman is a job...and his words CLEARLY state that he isn't interested in, nor is he going to do his job for the next 9 months...If that's the case, he and those like him need to be thrown out on their a$$es because that's what would happen to anyone else who had a job but refused to work.. For all of y'all that whine, squawl, and rant about not wanting to support folks looking for a free ride, sounds to me like McCain qualifies. I'm not trying to stir a firestorm with this post, but the hypocracy of many of these groups and the character of the groups themselves (especially the Tea Baggers) needs to be exposed for what it is..and that is nothing more than RACISM AND HATE. (Sorry for circumventing the filters mods, but IMO the post needed to be clear and to that end I didn't want to leave any ambiguity)
Re: Health Care Reform Passes!
Since this is an all over-18 board, plus a board that people request access to, there aren't filters on here I don't think. If there are, they weren't created by any of our mods, but by HostBoard.
Anywho...great post. Tea Baggers are effed up in the head majorly. Those Republican politicians who listen to them are even more effed up.

Really, the only good thing the 'Baggers do is split the GOP vote....so we need to keep these idiots around...lol.. If you are familiar with Russian Literature, Divine Providence is used in many of their classical works. Divine Providence is basically any instance where God allows evil people or things to do evil works as long as it benefits the greater good of mankind. For example, in Buglakov's "Master and Margarita" God allows Satan to go about Moscow killing off followers of Stalin, KGB agents, etc. through especially gruesome means. I guess that's why the book has been banned in that country in its unedited form since it was first published for the most part (1930's). I think the tea baggers serve a similar purpose..and that purpose is to take enough of the GOP vote away from their mainstream candidates in the primaries to produce an unsavory candidate for the general elections (who because of their extreme views are unelectable when pitted against candidates from other parties)...so I hope they keep up the "good" work...
Re: Health Care Reform Passes!
Darkest day in this country's history. The domestic has been able to do what the foreign was unable to do.

Re: Health Care Reform Passes!
1) The whole Olbermann shot at not being there was low, given his father's condition at the time of this rally and his subsequent passing.
2) I'm what some would call a "liberal" even though I'm more centrist, and I love being an American and love this country. I resent him saying that I don't love my country because of a label he puts on me b/c of my opinions politically.
3) I've never met more people who mumble & grumble more about things going on in this country than the Tea Baggers and even those to the left of them but still on the right--yet centrists & liberals are the ones who are cynics?
4) Wonder if those cats like Warren Buffett pay attention to the "In God We Trust" on money, or if they're just more worried about the bottom line in his bank account at the end of each day? That's a delusion if this guy and those Tea Baggers think the former.
5) Olbermann meant "black faces", not "blackface" as in old racist theatrical "blackface", but as African-Americans. He talks about not being prejudicial, then plays to the prejudice that these people probably hold true to their hearts to begin with.
6) He's acting like these folks are sympathetic to African-Americans. They're only being sympathetic to his face. I'd wager a large sum of money that some of those older white men/women come away from his speech saying "that guy wasn't that bad for a negro".
7) He's calling all black people "slaves" and not giving them enough credit for being able to think for themselves. Isn't that being prejudicial on his part? Isn't that him being racist against African-Americans? I don't care if he's black or not, sounds like he's got a lot of self-loathing going on that he needs to deal with.
8) So, to him, it's racist to call people "Blank-Americans". Wow. So, what do we do? People want to embrace their historic culture even if they are Americans for the most part--do we tell them that if they do then they're racist? Do we tell them that if they don't call themselves Americans only that they're anti-American? This dude is nuckin futs.
9) I wish he would have let that crowd qualify their answers to his "am I welcome" question. If they told the truth, he'd likely be shocked. YES!!!! (because you're up there saying things we agree with!) Also--love the one white dude in green shirt/khakis after he asks the 2nd time standing in front with his hands in his pockets and a scowl on his face. Note the guys to his left & right not clapping/yelling either.
10) No, this dude basically calling Obama an Uncle Tom in his speech wouldn't go over well to an anti-Obama crowd at all. No, never. Another example of his self-loathing as a black man.
11) All teachers are left-wing nutjobs. Got it. How disrespectful can you get to an entire profession.
12) All music is liberal? This cat is whacked out. I'm sure Pelosi writes all of Jay-Z's lyrics. R13--Ain't Lil Wayne doing a concept album about the life and death of Ted Kennedy? I knew Bill Clinton shouldn't have played that saxaphone on Arsenio Hall's show back in the day--they found him out!!! LMAO...
13) Plus, this guy trying to push Christian music as a conservative tool. He wants them as an "ally" to push a conservative agenda--nevermind that they simply want to sing about their faith and experiences with God as a Christian. They have to use them to push their agenda whether they want to get involved in politics or not. "You'll have our support...but you've got to slander the liberals on your next record". Yeah...that'll work.
14) So, I've been brainwashed by liberal media and entertainment into seeing evil in things that conservatives do? *whew*...that's a load off. I thought I had free will and was thinking for myself there for a minute. Guess I'm too dumb to do that though according to this guy, because I don't think as he does. Thanks 'Zo!!!
15) LOL...this guy is trying to tell the people with the stupid Birther inspired signs to explore their creative side? What are they gonna create? MORE signs that look like the one in R13's signature? Yep, that seems about right.
16) From 9:33 in the 2nd video to the end is something I can most assuredly agree with. If you believe in God, do all things through him and anything is possible. The problem is, most of these people in that crowd and in any Tea Bagger crowd are using God as an excuse & ways to get to their own self-righteous means. Its a bastardization of their faith and it undermines and abuses those who truly believe.
17) PJTV, who shows all of this cat's videos along with other ultra-conservative fare, is one helluva source to find the truth. At least, their Tea Bagger slant on what they believe the truth to be. But it's OK b/c God said that's the truth. Did they talk to him? Ummmm...sure they did. As far as you know...c'mon! God said it! I said so! You can't disagree with it!
Do they really think people are this stupid?
18) Last but not least--I find those 2 videos HILARIOUS and extremely ironic given the pic that's in your sig line Tommy. No racism there at all. Care to explain that one?
Re: Health Care Reform Passes!
wow
instead of posting what is wrong with the bill that gave millions of Americans a way to keep from dying, we get rhetoric and the dumbest, most ignorant video ive ever seen, not to mention flat out wrong and full of lies and bias.
Do you guys really and truly believe all that man said?
Honestly, can you say that you agree with what the man in that video said?

I'll co-sign.
You had them calling Barney Frank names, the black members names, then the guy yelling "Baby Killer" at Stupak...
"Baby killer" shouter steps forward, highlights internal GOP dilemma - Yahoo! News
It's disgraceful. Of course there are people of different races, they are few and far between, it is mostly wealthy, white males(big surprise) and overwhelmingly conservatives. I just can't stand when they try to pass off as this melting pot of all colors and full of independents.
Btw, there's a chance that McCain might be out in November, not as much the dems..but his challenger.

Look who we're talking about. I don't doubt for a second they soak that up, judging from the sites they post.
The only problem with this bill, is that it doesn't go far enough. We needed the public option, we've come this far and I'm thrilled about this bill though.
Re: Health Care Reform Passes!
What are your feelings about the Senate plan minus the reconcilliation package? Knowing that it is possible the Senate doesn't accept reconcilliation, the original Senate plan goes through as law, correct?
